La Parte Migliore di Godere il Vino é La Gente

Questa settimana scorsa, mi ho divertito molto con vino e miei amici. In tre esperienze seperato, mi ho divertito una bottiglia o bicchiere di vino in presenza di buoni amici mentre parlando della vita. E in ogni caso, mi ho sentito un momento di felicitá sincera. E quello é lo che fa vino special…la gente piú che il vino.

Lunedí – 2004 Old Vine Tempranillo

Lunedí, mentre stavo caminando intorno al aeroporto di Palo Alto alle sei nella pomeriggio, ho ricevuto una telefonata di uno dei miei amici, Kurt. La prossima mese, Kurt andrá a Chicago per un nuovo lavoro. Ma, lui ha voluto godere la sua graticola per uno ultimo tempo, quindi lui andrá in un viaggio prima di andare via a Chicago.

L’ho domandato si lui mi necessitava portare qualcosa per la festa questa notte. Lui mi ha detto “niente…eccetto una delle mie bottiglia megliore di vino.” Quindi ho uscito del aeropuerto e ho andato a mi casa per un po di per scegliere una bottiglia. Ho deciso portare una bottiglia di 2004 Old Vine Tempranillo…una bottiglia che mi ho ricevuto che era un resto del mio viaggio di Tahoe di ritorno in Gennaio.

Quando l’ho aperto la bottiglia, ho pensato che c’era qualcosa strano. Il gusto mi ha sembrato un po strano…al primo sorso il vino aveva un sapore molto frutta ma il fine era molto piatto. Dopo di bevere piú il gusto si ha migliorato. Kurt ha detto la stessa cosa mentre tutti noi abbiamo divertito con il suo BBQ, insalata, il vino e buona conversazione nel suo patio finche alla dieci nella notte. Era un buon tempo!

Il Resto Della Settimana

Mercoledí, ero supposto andare un giro col mio amico Marc dopo di lavoro per Marc ha dimenticato portare i suoi vestiti per un giro intorno al Dish a Stanford. Quindi, ho andato a San Ysidro Wine Bar in San Jose per un bicchiere. Ho bevuto di nuovo un bicchere di Jean Claude Cabernet/Merlot miscela della regione in Francia si chiama Languedoc. Era un buon bicchiere come la ultima volta che ho andato lí con Koffi.

Giovedí, mi ho divertito la mia cena mensile colla mia amica (e maestra di spagnola) Delia a una buona ristorante in Menlo Park chiamata Iberia. Noi piace sempre la sua sangria e quella notte no era diferente. Noi abbiamo divertito con un bicchiere, “tapas” e piú di due ore di conversazione in spagnola.

Venerdí, ho conosciuto il mio amico Koffi a Joya in Palo Alto – uno di miei posti favoriti dopo di lavoro il venerdí. Come sempre, lui ed io noi abbiamo divertito con una conversazione interessante per tre ore della vida, la energia della vida e la gente, e alcune storie divertente delle nostre vide. Lo abbiamo fatto sopra due bicchiere….il primo era un bianco da Napa chiamata Conundrum (che mi ho piaciuto molto per un bianco) e il secondo era un rosso da Spagna, Compo Viejo Tempranillo. Mi ho piaciuto il Tempranillo e penso che é un po interessante che la mia settimana ha cominciato con un Tempranillo e buon conversazione e ha finito con lo stesso.

This past week, I enjoyed myself with wine and my friends. In three separate experiences, I enjoyed a bottle or glass of wine in the presence of good friends while talking about life. And in every case, I felt a moment of sincere happiness. And that is what makes more special … the people more than the wine.

Monday – 2004 Old Vine Tempranillo

Monday, while I was walking around to the airport in Palo Alto at six o’clock in the afternoon, I received a call from one of my friends, Kurt. Next month, Kurt is going to Chicago for a new job. But he wanted to enjoy his grill one last time, since he’s going on a trip before going to Chicago.

I asked him if he needed me to bring something for the party that evening. He told me “nothing … except one of my best bottles of wine.” So I came out of the airport and I went to my house for some to select a bottle. I decided to bring a bottle of 2004 Old Vine Tempranillo… a bottle that was a leftover from my trip to Tahoe back in January. When I opened the bottle, I thought something was strange. The taste to me seemed a bit strange … at the first sip it tasted very fruity but the finish was very flat. After drinking more the taste improved. Kurt himself said the same thing while we all enjoyed his BBQ, salad, the wine, and good conversation on his patio until at ten in the night. It was a good time!

The Rest of the Week

Wednesday, I was supposed to go a run with my friend Marc after working but Marc had forgotten to bring his clothes for a run around the Stanford Dish. So, I went to San Ysidro Wine Bar in San Jose for a glass. I drank a glass Jean Claude Cabernet / Merlot blend the region in France called Languedoc. It was a good glass like last time I went there with Koffi.

Thursday, I enjoyed my monthly dinner with my friend (and Spanish tutor) Delia at a good restaurant in Menlo Park called Iberia. We always enjoy their sangria and that night was no different. We enjoyed ourselves with a glass, tapas, and more than two hours of conversation in Spanish.

Friday, I met my friend at Koffi Joya in Palo Alto – one of my favorite afterwork places on Fridays. As always, he and I, enjoyed ourselves with a conversation for three hours about life, life and the energy of people, and some funny stories about our lives. We did this over two glasses…the first was a white wine from Napa called Conundrum (which I liked for a white) and the second was a red from Spain, Compo Viejo Tempranillo. I liked the Tempranillo and I think that is a bit interesting that my week began with a Tempranillo and a good conversation and ended with it.
